I just realized that the American restaurants I go to all have pictures in the menus, and the Asian restaurants don't. This is interesting because I know what all of the things in the American restaurants' menus are already, but I don't know much about Asian dishes, and they're the ones in most dire need of pictures.
(Of course, it's no mystery; most American places I go to are chains, and the Asian places are not. Higher budget plus economies of scale equal better menus.)
