Try it with hot chocolate! Not only do you stain your shirt, but you also get the pleasure of scolding yourself.
I usually only have this problem with cans. Cups are omnidirectional.
Not the ones with the lids on them that you get from any of the coffee shops you go to out here. There is a small little hole in the lid that you need to pay attention to. Otherwise you end up missing your mouth, just like with a can of pop. I've done this a couple times (once on the way to your place!)Of course, it shouldn't be too bad for you when you do dribble Coke on yourself. It isn't like everyone is always checking out your breasts!
Touché, salesman. I forget that hot cocoa comes from things other than the Starbucks machines at work.
At work we have a combination of coffee machines in the break rooms, no lids for the coffee cups, and corners from the rows of cubes that everyone comes around without looking ahead. It is definitely not uncommon for people to go get a full cup of coffee and be walking quickly back to their desk only to smack into someone else coming around the corner and spill the coffee all over the both of them. You'd think that an innovative company that can make these really complicated IT solutions we would figure out lids or mirrors at the corners.
