I've done it: I'm now one of those people with limited basic cable. Not just basic cable... ultra basic cable. I get like 24 channels now. I guess I'll just wait to watch season 3 of Battlestar Galactica on DVD. The rest I can live without. I can deal with paying $1 a day less.

I think the prices for cable tv is worst than gas. They charge an outragous amount and then there usually isn't anything on anyway. It might be worth paying for the extra channels while there are new episoes of shows on several channels, but come on ... $60 dollars a month? And if you want movie channels it's $100, I'm better off renting movies or going to Hollywood video and getting that unlimited movie deal for $10 or $15 a month (Which is exactly what I did last summer). Then to top it off, Howard Stern decides that if you want to watch his show you have to pay an annual fee of $110. Is he that good?

I've gone almost a full year without any cable tv service at all and I don't miss it. I'm more of a movie watcher and don't mind downloadint the shows I watch.

Pay a buck an episode to get it off iTunes if nothing else.

Though you'll be missing Caprica too :-).

Too bad we don't have ala carte cable, eh?
