Ctrl your way to victory

I don't really have anything new to say, so I thought I'd share a tip with you guys that I've found insanely useful recently. Over the past few weeks, I've been using a new keyboard shortcut that I always knew about, but never found a use for: Ctrl+Backspace. Ctrl+Backspace is, in most programs, a shortcut to delete the entire preceding word. (There's also Ctrl+Delete, which deletes the next word, and isn't as useful.) I can't even describe how many times I've used this shortcut in the past few weeks. Try it out for a while; you might learn to enjoy it as much as I do.

Yeah, I'm a loser.

It leaves funny non-ASCII characters in Notepad. :(

Hmm, that it does, though just for Ctrl+Backspace. Ctrl+Delete deletes the rest of the line, which is wacky. (I only use metapad and EmEditor nowadays.) StickyPad has the same problems, unfortunately, since it's Built on Notepad Technology™. (That's, uh, a multiline text box.)
