I can relate to that. My office is generally pretty cool because it gets no sun and is as close to being the basement as possible. My tactic is to get comfortable on my office couch and watch tv until I'm sleepy enough that the heat simply doesn't matter. Most of the time I fall asleep and then wake up between 3 - 5 and move to my bed. Half the time I can't even remember moving.

I've always wondered if you whitened your teeth. They are incrediably white, compared to most people's teeth.

I think part of it is you tend to avoid some of the things which stain teeth (coffee, smoking, etc...) Though, I would think the amount of soft drinks I see you chug would have some impact on it...but than again, you drink it in such a way that it doesn't touch your teeth.

I thought BBS was pretty decent, but strangely tame and reserved most of the time. In this one, my main problems are that there's just not enough plot to fill an hour and a half, and the jokes aren't up to Futurama muster. David Cross stars as the bad guy, though, so that's something.

No, seasons 1 and 2 weren't exactly self-contained either. But there were some really good stories in there -- take the first two episodes of the series, for example. Unless I am remembering them with rose-colored glasses, they were really excellent stories, told very well, and standing well on their own. That's something you don't see much from the later episodes. The most recent "standalone" episode I remember is the boxing one in season 3, and that one was probably the worst episode of the series.

Moore was told by the Sci-Fi execs to make more self-contained episodes during season 3, those shows turned out horribly. I think the only reason seasons 1/2 are more comprehensible is because they were still setting everything up; I don't really consider them self-contained though.

I think this is going to become an ever increasing trend in network television drama, particular with the ever increasing participation in internet broadcasting. If you catch an episode that intrigues you, you can always catch up online!

ABC is certainly taking that stance with LOST. A great show that is impossible to follow unless you're thoroughly caught up. Luckily abc.com has all the episodes in HD for all 4 seasons.

Careful though, the short ads they run partway through are sometimes for upcoming episodes of LOST. Thus giving spoilers to the guy/gal watching season 1. Doh!

I get the Tina Fey comparison. Actually, the show has quite a few attractive older people -- going down the cast list: Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker), Celia Hodes (Elizabeth Perkins), Romany Malco (Conrad Shepard), Maulik Pancholy (Sanjay). The actor who plays Sanjay is 34! The character is supposed to be, what, like, 19?

I've loved Weeds; I haven't seen Season 3 yet but I got the others on Netflix and then later bought them, all on Blu-ray. It's cool that it's a show that's always been available on Blu-ray for as long as it's been on disc. And Marie Louise Parker in HD is nothing to scoff at. :)

I too had the (210) 290-0193 missed call. I called that number back not realizing that was the 900-193, and sure enough I got that cricket message as well.

I've been getting calls from that 900-193 on my cell. I just dont answer them. I finally answered one by accident. called my carrier to report my concern of the 900 # and the # doesnt even appear on the log at all. They also looked the next day, still nothing in the call log.
