Double sigh-ded

Microsoft saves paper and trees by defaulting all of the printers to double-sided printing. Or, at least they purport to. I wonder how many pages and how much ink I've wasted in the three and a half years I've worked here after printing something, going to pick it up, realizing it printed double-sided, recycling that copy, and then printing a single-sided copy.

If I'm printing something, it's either to send to someone (for a rebate or something), to fill out and fax, or it's a single page. I don't want crap printed on both sides. At least the printers don't default to stapling the corners anymore.

Views expressed are my own and in no way represent my employer; this is in no way a work blog.  All postings are presented "AS IS" and confer no rights.

Names are generally changed to protect the irrelevant.  Quotes may be paraphrased.  My memory isn't good enough for "details."
