I hate this UI

I hate this UI. It's just painful.

Which part is 50% done? I'm sure it was slightly more obvious at the time if you sat and watched it. But that UI is just dumb.

I saw your post (without the image) through my RSS reader and was going to come yell at you for insulting the new interface.

But now that I'm here, yeah, the installer / "I'M REALLY DOING A LOT OF STUFF I SWEAR" screen is pretty bad.

Nah, I like the way that WMP11 looks. It looks even nicer on Vista. The only thing that comes to mind right now that I really dislike is the Vista trend of not having dividing lines between, say, the navigation pane on the left and the content area on the right. These are distinct areas with different purposes, and they shouldn't just blend together as if "they're all icons." By that thought, you might as well just get rid of the borders around menus and toolbars !

Yeah, when my sound card wasn't busy having crappy drivers in Vista, I really liked WMP11 with the transparencies and other "neat" things.
