Money for nothing and your Crusader for free

Sometime in the future Blizzard's going to be getting money from me for doing next to nothing. Even once I've moved on and don't really play much WoW anymore, I'm still going to be paying them money to keep my characters alive and play every once in a while. I'll be paying the same amount I am now. That's almost unsettling.

When you cancel your account, your characters don't get deleted. They'll still be around when/if you decide to pick the game up again and resubscribe.

Yeah, I'd figure as much, at least for six months or so. But they'd still be inaccessible, and it would be weird. It's always hard for me to bring myself to delete save games; I usually end up zipping them up and saving them because I can't bear to kill them off. (I still have my savegames from Wizardry 8, Morrowind, Planescape: Torment, Warcraft III... perhaps I should just go ahead and delete those...)

you never know when you'll need those savegames again. i have this habit of keeping the final save from my original character/party, then replaying the game over and over with other characters before i finally reload the originals and beat the game.

did that with Wizardry 7, in fact, and i kept ahold of that savegame for 4 years before i got a chance to import it into Wizardry 8. who knows...maybe someday there'll be a Wizardry 9, and you'll wish you kept those!

i really wished that i didn't lose my save of gran tourismo 3. i wanted to play that again this summer and had to start over, instead of having all licenses and the indy car AND ultimate rally racer. :(
