I don't think that my dependence on Diet Coke (or caffeinated, carbonated beverages in general) should really be classified as an addiction, though the various definitions on dictionary.com seem to suggest that I qualify. I'm trying to think of the last time that I've gone a day without a caffeinated beverage, and I can't remember one. On rare occasions I'll manage to have only two or three. But never zero. On an average workday I'll have between eight and ten, and on an average weekend I'll have three. That's not so bad.
